Arch Unique is an architecture and interior design bureau founded by Marina Orekhova, working in Phuket on private villas, hospitality spaces and residential developments. The bureau can connect early site reading, architectural concept, interiors, consultant coordination, procurement and design supervision according to the agreed scope. The approach starts with the land, climate, operation and client brief—not a predetermined visual formula—so each project develops a distinct spatial identity and a clear route from first decisions to implementation.

What we design
A villa, a restaurant, a development: each begins differently.
A private villa is first a portrait of the people who will live there: how they wake, gather, host and retreat. A restaurant begins with another choreography—guest expectation, service pace, table character and the change from daylight to evening.
A development asks whether one architectural promise can survive different plots, phases and owners without becoming repetitive. Interiors and procurement then bring these ambitions down to the scale of the hand: the light above a table, the feel of a threshold and the object that completes a room.
Solar load, monsoon rain, humidity, salt air and material ageing shape the position of openings, depth of shade, drainage thinking and the life of every exposed finish from the beginning.
Privacy, neighbouring development, construction access and logistics matter just as much. A project becomes convincing when the spectacular view and the practical realities of making and maintaining the place are resolved together.

Complex sites
Hillside and coastal land need an early section.
A verified survey, contours, access, view corridors, neighbouring plots, utilities and visible drainage paths establish what the project can responsibly become. Where required, structural, geotechnical and other specialist inputs must join the process early.
The first useful drawing is often a section: it tests arrival, parking, living platforms, pool position, privacy and service routes before a façade becomes emotionally fixed.
A concept is only valuable if it survives contact with reality.
The first idea is tested against plans, sections, systems, materials and the people who will make the project. Architecture, interiors and specialist information advance at the pace required by the commission, not as disconnected packages passed from one team to another.
Every stage should leave the client with something intelligible to approve. The appointment defines where the bureau leads, where local and specialist professionals carry responsibility, and which site decisions need direct review before they become irreversible.

Material samples, key site moments and decisions with physical consequences still need planned in-person review. The workflow distinguishes what can be approved digitally from what should be experienced or checked on site.

Yes. Developing the shell, room sequence, lighting, joinery, materials and furniture as one system reduces unresolved interfaces and protects the original spatial idea.
03When should an architect review a Phuket site?+
Before a concept is fixed—and ideally before acquisition when the client wants an architectural view of access, contours, views, privacy and information gaps. This does not replace legal or specialist due diligence.
04Do hillside sites require different design work?+
They usually require earlier attention to section, access, levels, drainage, structure, retaining, services and construction logistics, supported by qualified specialist information where appropriate.
05Can Arch Unique work with clients based overseas?+
Yes, when the workflow defines decision authority, presentation rhythm, approvals, samples, site reporting and the moments when a physical visit is important.
06Does the bureau provide procurement in Thailand?+
Procurement can be included as a separate agreed scope covering schedules, supplier research, quotations, samples, approvals and coordination. Commercial and receiving responsibilities are confirmed before work begins.
07Is design supervision automatically included?+
No. Design supervision is defined separately, including frequency, responsibilities, reporting and the relationship with the appointed contractor and local consultants.
