Architecture

A private residence in Koh Samui embedded into a steep tropical site and developed through sectional relationships.

The architecture is understood through the vertical journey: how the house meets the land, when the view appears and how private spaces withdraw from more social terraces.

The portfolio material demonstrates the architectural direction. Ground conditions, retaining, drainage, structure and statutory matters remain dependent on the relevant verified project information and appointed specialists.

Design approach / 02

House in the Hill treats topography as the project’s organising material. Arrival, enclosed rooms, outdoor living and long views are composed through level change rather than placed on an imagined flat platform.

Section before façade

The most important early relationships are vertical: road, arrival, living level, private rooms, pool and horizon.

Let the land create privacy

Level change and offset organise separation without closing the residence away from its setting.

Coordinate hidden systems early

Hillside structure, drainage, services and access constrain one another and should not arrive as late corrections.
